Sounds like something worth thinking about. My mate's idea was to help countries that are "friendly" to the US build towns for all these folks (places such as Guatemala). If they have a decent place to go to then that would give them the opportunity to help BUILD these places themselves and there would be less people trying to come into the US (which is really messed up itself at this time in history).

I thank you for the comment: i don't get many--why i don't know.

i'm not sure where or how all the immigrants come from, but i do know they routinely state they are coming here to try to find a new life for their families: they need jobs. Americans buy most of the stuff we buy from China: why not incentivize companies to build plants in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere as opposed to China? Build those factories where the immigrants could stay home and secure work there. Like I wrote, there are o easy answers: getting anyone to engage with an idea seems to be the first--and toughest--step.
